Commissioning a bronze sculpture of your dog, horse or other animals is a fun exciting process. Once you have an idea of the how you would like your dog posed, we would speak with the artist to establish a price for the piece. A 50% deposit is then due at that time.
Depending on the complexity of the sculpture, Liza would then either meet with you and your dog or horse, or work from photographs that you provide. The next step is for Liza to put your ideas in sketch form, for you to see what the finished piece will look like. Once this is approved by you, she goes ahead with the wax model, from which the bronze foundry creates a cast. This is then transformed into the finished bronze.
Depending on the size of the piece and how busy the artist is with other commissions, the process can take six months or more from start to finish. If you would like to give a commission as a gift, the Gallery will create a gift certificate which can be presented. |
