Edmund Caldwell |

Born in Canterbury, Caldwell spent most of his working life in Guildford and London. Best known for his watercolours of animals, landscapes and sporting scenes. He specialised in paintings of dogs. Later he took up sculpting, and also had a series of engravings published in The Gun at Home and Abroad, 1912-1914.
Caldwell exhibited at the Suffolk Street galleries, The New Watercolour Society, and the Royal Academy where he won a prize in 1884 for Run to Ground. |
